Saline or silicone? This is a common enough question should any woman wish to have breast implants. So the first thing you should know is, what does a breast implant cost? In knowing this first question, you can go from there and know if you would go for gel breast implant or a saline breast implant. While both still give you the end result of a bigger and better breast size, there are always pros and cons in choosing which implant you would be going for.

Let’s try giving you the consequences should you consider one over the other. When you have saline implants, you would have a silicone shell filled with saline solution. Some patients and surgeons believe that this is safer. For one, should the implant leak, the saline solution can be absorbed by the body safely. On the other hand, should you go for silicone implants, there might be complications should the shell leak. Then again, regardless of whichever material the implants would have, any leak would also pose a threat to the woman’s health. In using silicone implants, the appearance of your breasts would appear more natural looking. According to surgeons who have used both, have given their comments that saline implants look hard and unnatural. Few women have also shared that using saline implants feel a ‘splashing-water-like-feeling’ from their breasts. Then again, all these would really be dependent on the surgeon and implant you would be using. On another note, silicone implants cost higher. That is only one factor that would help in determining the cost, so don’t assume that this is the only consideration in price.
